The “Bullie Bath” Experience
So what is the “Bullie Bath”? What’s so special about it anyway? We’re glad you asked!
The “Bullie Bath” is a unique, customized grooming experience designed by Jen especially for her beloved bulldogs! There are two levels based on your individual bullie’s needs: Bullie Maintenance and Bullie Therapy.
It includes:
• A thorough bath using a high quality, veterinary endorsed line of shampoos and conditioners known for its superior skincare results. As so many bulldogs suffer from skin related issues, this particular line of products was chosen after much research to ensure your bullies get the very best!
Bullie Maintenance:
An extremely gentle, soothing, and super hydrating shampoo and deep conditioning treatment to maintain healthy skin and coat. Formulated for sensitive skin (can’t be too careful with bullies!)
Bullie Therapy:
Does your bullie (like so many!) have skin issues? We can help with that, too! Using products distinctively designed to address issues like bacteria, fungus (think yeast!), and hair loss, we begin with the “Detox” phase where we choose a detoxification mask based on your bullie’s specific skincare needs. We then apply it, wrapping your bullie in a warm towel, and allow it to sit for about 10-15 minutes. In the “Cleansing” phase, we apply gentle anti-bacterial and/or anti-fungal therapy shampoos to help combat these common problems. Finally, the “Hydration” phase uses a specially formulated mixture of deep conditioning treatments, helping to restore the skin’s pH and put moisture back into the skin and coat, aiding in healing and protection. A bonus Triple Oil treatment (with anti-inflammatory properties and added skin/coat strengthening and protection!) is applied to the skin and coat. As Bullie Therapy Baths are meant to promote healing of the skin and coat, more frequent visits may be recommended.
• Wrinkle and tail pocket cleaning with an added protective cream (chosen specifically because it’s made especially for bullies!) to prevent bacterial build-up and keep the area clean and dry
• Blow-dry using our high velocity dryer with variable speed for added comfort
• Brush-out
• Nail clipping and/or filing
• Ear cleaning
• Nose and paw balm
• Cologne (if applicable)
• Accessory
Special accommodations include:
• the use of a Trachsaver versus a traditional grooming loop (ensures that pressure is never placed on your bullie’s already susceptible trachea by lightly restraining around the shoulders rather than the neck
• No cage dryers are ever used on our brachycephalic friends! For more information, please check out our Why Bulldogs? page!
